Rachel Louise McCaffrey MD is an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a fellowship trained surgeon specializing in the surgical management of benign and malignant breast disease. She received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and French from Colgate University. Dr. McCaffrey completed her medical school training at Florida Atlantic University and completed general surgery residency training at Brown University. She completed her fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at the University of Michigan and is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Vanderbilt University providing care exclusively to patients with breast diseases.
Dr. McCaffrey is honored to treat patients with a multidisciplinary approach, bringing all expertise to bear on a patient-centered treatment of breast cancer that is both compassionate and aesthetically excellent. She also has a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors and surgeons who will carry on the work of health care.
Dr. McCaffrey is board certified in general surgery and is a member of several national societies.
