Dr Taiwo Adesoye is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Breast Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center with a robust multidisciplinary clinical practice and engagement in translational research. She received her medical education from the University of Chicago and completed her general surgery residency at the Houston Methodist Hospital. She received a Masters Degree in Public Health with a focus in clinical effectiveness at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her work in Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) highlights the unique considerations of care in IBC patients to optimize oncologic outcomes. She has evaluated the impact of de-escalation of care in certain IBC populations such as the elderly. She currently collaborates with translationally researchers in the KeyHunt lab investigating novel therapies to overcome Cyclin Dependent Kinase 4/6 inhibitor resistance in metastatic hormone receptor positive breast.
